400R
Special edition of the R33 introduced in 1995 with 400 and R standing for horsepower of the engine and for racing respectively.
Throughout the series the car proved it self as a reliable event beater with it’s abundance of horsepower and well tuned suspension.
400R appears in Gran Turismo 1 for the first time in the series and it’s acquired by getting all gold medals in the international A license.
Last time we see it in the series is Gran Turismo 7 where it can be bought in the nismo dealership for 1,800,000 CR.
Real model — Overview
The „real” deal was a great example of how to make a skyline right.
The 400R received the best of everything, and its best feature was, and still is, the engine. This isn’t the „ordinary” RB26DETT used by BCNR. Nismo commissioned Reinik (now Reimax) to develop this engine. Earlier, this company worked on the development of the A-group version of the RB26DETT engine from the famous Godzilla.
